It’s finally feeling like spring in London! To mark the occasion, we got our hands on some limited edition ice creams from Haagen Dazs.
These floral inspired ice creams are exclusive to Liberty – the store on London’s Regent street who take pride in providing the finest fashion and homeware from around the world.
There’s two flavours up for grabs and they’re £5.95 a tub. A little more to pay than your normal Haagen Dazs flavours, but well worth it!
Apricot and Lavender – this was super heavenly! The first flavour to hit you is the lavender. Then as the ice cream melts in your mouth, you get fruitiness from the apricot bits – which balances so well with the lavender. Who knew these two could work so well together! Haagen Dazs has done well with the lavender taste to not make it too overpowering – as long as you can resist not eating the whole tub at once!
Lychee, Raspberry and Rose – having this, was like going on a roller-coaster of flavours! You first get a hit of the exoctic lychee, then you get the sharpness from the raspberry, and then you get the aftertaste of the rose. Super yummy. The flavour of the lychee is quite subtle at first, but it intensifies as you eat more of the ice-cream (and why wouldn’t you?) This was a very clever combination, so hats off to Haagen Dazs!
Both of these limited edition ice-creams were great. The balance and combinations of all the flavours were really creative. So we’re giving these a total of 4 yums. It was really worth making the journey down to Liberty to try them out. If you want to try them out, then hurry, because they won’t be on sale for long! Check out Liberty’s website for more information.
If you get the chance to try both let us know which one do you prefer?
Whilst you’re there, you can check out the floral window display created by the artist Rebecca Louise Law.
