Overall Experience

We all know that Burger & Lobster isn’t anything new. But even though it’s been open for some time, it’s still appealing to foodies and non-foodies the whole world over. They don’t have a menu as such, but what they do offer is simple: £20 for a burger or lobster. You could also opt for the  lobster roll (a soft brioche roll stuffed to the max with lobster meat). If there are two of you, you can ask for the half & half: half lobster and half burger each. All of these options are served with fries and salad. Simple!

At Yummy Jubbly, we love things awesome. So it is no surprise that we had an awesome time when we attended a birthday party at the Bond Street branch of Burger & Lobster over the weekend. As we were a party of 10, the staff suggested we went for one of their big lobsters to share. At a whopping 5.9kg we couldn’t resist and  we had an epic meal!

With the lovely Bruno (that’s the waiter not the lobster)

This monster lobster was the biggest one they have had at this branch since opening. We had it split in half and cooked two ways – steamed and grilled. It came with unlimited fries and salad too. As one of the claws didn’t have much meat inside when the chef cracked it open, they gave us some additional lobsters to make up for the lost weight.

We were so excited when the cooked lobster was brought out to us and couldn’t wait to tuck in!

There was loads of meat on this lobster and to get every bit of it, you needed to put in the work:

Robert was clearly better at this than Kitty!

The lobster was cooked to perfection. The meat was moist and had that lovely bounce to it – shows it was super fresh. When drizzled with Burger & Lobster’s signature creamy garlic butter, it was even more amazing! As we were busy tucking in to our lobster, the staff made sure our supply of fries and salads didn’t finish and topped us up whenever we wanted more.

But the fun didn’t stop when we finished the lobster:

Our overall experience at Burger & Lobster was epic! Not only was the food amazing, but service was good too. So we’re awarding Burger & Lobster 5 yums!  If you haven’t been to Burger & Lobster yet, we’d suggest you do. There’s no reservation service though, so be sure to get there early or be prepared to wait. The only reason we were able to reserve is because we were a party of 10, and the lovely staff at the Soho branch emailed all the branches to see who can spare us a table!

So if you’re looking for a place that serves yummy food, and where you can have fun too, then Burger & Lobster is for you!
